The Fengári Quartet is a London based string quartet formed in 2016, comprising of students attending the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD).They are currently mentored by Levon Chilingarian of the Chilingarian Quartet and have worked with esteemed musicians such as Simon Rowland-Jones, Leandro Silvera and Evan Rothstein, as well as members of the Endellion Quartet.
Within their first year together, they were recommended to participate in a Haydn workshop led by Simon Rowland-Jones and have recently performed for the Maritime Music Awards at the Institute of Directors. They have also performed across Berbiguieres in France whilst attending a summer course led by the Dante String Quartet.
The Fengári Quartet were also recently involved in a project with the Abbey Roads Institute, in which they recorded in studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios with Haydn Bendall. They look forward to returning to the studio to record Moeran's first String Quartet in February 2018.
Upcoming concerts include: performing at the 'Chamber at six' concert series in Silk Street Music hall on the 26th February at GSMD, as well as performing as part of a Chamber Music festival at GSMD on the 8th July.
